Pool Side Cooking and Seating Area Destroyed by Sudden Fire

Robbinsville (Mercer County)- At exactly 0000 Hrs on August 1, 2008, fire fighters were dispatched to the area of 11 Eisenhower Drive for a report of a building fire. Reports from the caller stated there was fire behind a house down the street from them. Robbinsville PD Dispatcher updated responding patrol that there was a structure behind the house at 6 Eisenhower Drive that was on fire. Deputy 40 arrived on scene within minutes and reported heavy smoke in the area and confirmed a working fire. Upon further investigation, the fire revealed to be contained to an outside Pool Side Seating and Cooking area. The fire was knocked down within minutes of Engine 40s arrival. Responding units for the first alarm consisted of Station 40 units, Engine 19 (Groveville Fire Co.), Tower 17 (Nottingham Fire Co.), and Engine 12 (Mercerville Fire Co.). RIT 15 was recalled prior to the fire being knocked down. The cause of the fire is undetermined and is undergoing investigation.
